The local people of Darjeeling & Gangtok are in the habit of various colorful festivals. They have some exclusive & distinctive local festivals such as the Devil Dances (celebration for welcoming the new year), Maruni, Juhari, Rateli, Malsiri, Chabrung (a very robust fold dance of this area), Celebration of the birthday of the Dalai Lama, Damfu, Dragon Dances, bhai tika, Lakhshmi puja, Deosi, Bhailo etc.
Food:
At Special Darjeeling & Gangtok you can relish a variety of food types such as- Bengali dishes, Chinese cuisine, continental and local dishes (Tibetan tea, Shaphalay, Tongba, Thupkas, Momo etc).
If you plan to take a 7 day trip to Darjeeling and Gangtok then choose to spend the intial two three says in Darjeeling and spend the rest of the time of your tour in Gangtok.
